James B.West who served with the 28th Massachusetts Infantry ,part of the famed \"Irish Brigade\", and was killed in action at Cold Harbor on June 3,1864. Taken by Sam Cooley Beaufort,South Carolina.The MA 28 Mass Inf. was heavily engaged at Antietam, Gettysburg,and many other major battles taking very heavy losses.
