This Civil War Corded Sun Bonnetis made using the 100% Cottonwith cotton cording for stiffness. It is light and airy. Keeping one cool during those hot Living Histories.The front brim is made to be turned back when less shade is needed.
You have your choice of fabric:
~ Yellow Swiss dot, yellow and blue
~ Yellow cotton with blue floral
This bonnet has soft cords set in sets of 3 rows with a stiff cotton organdy lining on the brim only.Itties on the inside curtain to adjust to your head. Long generous ties in the front. The curtain on the bonnet is full. This is based on an original and modified to flatten for easy laundering, starchingand ironing.
* Cotton fabric was pre-washed and pre-shrunk before cutting and sewing. *
