This June 22, 1861 letter is written by Dock the nephew of the soldier he is writing to. It has a patriotic envelope and letterhead. The letter is addressed to the soldier Mr Frank M. Livermore, Company B, 10th PA Reserves at Camp Wilkins, Pittsburgh, PA and sent in care of Capt. McConnell. The envelope is Post Marked West Middlesex, PA \"We have sent 3 large boxes full of bed clothes to you fellows and your quilt is directed to you. Sorry you lost your coat and vest. We heard about that Row but we did not hear of the Home Guards trying to get in the camp by beating down the gate with the butts of their muskets. I am glad you got the marbles yet for they are a very nice to play with when you have nothing to do. You must not forget your promise to send me your picture with your uniform on. \" The letter is in nice condition. The envelope is missing a little strip of paper above the vignette.
