$299.99

Here is a nice Extremely Finegenuine Civil War Confederate States of America $10 note, dated at Richmond, September 2nd, 1862.

(T-46)

Features central vignette of Ceres reclining on cotton bales. Portrait of R.M.T. Hunter at lower right. Back is blank as issued, but with handwritten endorsement. (Certificate of Authenticity provided at no charge).

This is actually an issue of 1861, with the date incorrectly engraved to read 1862, and was actually issued in 1861. with a low printing of just 646,000 notes.

Serial #42990. Hand signed and numbered by Confederate officials J.W. Eggleston, for Register, and O.M. Marshall, for Treasurer.

Pen endorsement on back reads: \"Filed 12-13-16/Preston Vaughn/Clerk\" -very interesting and researchable - apparently someone tried to claim payment on this note at a courthouse in 1916 - to no avail I\'m sure!

An excellent Extremely Fine example of this scarce type. Wonderful centering and nice even margins - rarely seen on this issue.NO pinholes or tears. A very high grade for this issue! See enlargeable photos!

Please check my response and buy with confidence!Safe, fast and low-cost shipping. Shipping to ITALY or RUSSIA will be more expensive.
