1862 Civil War Era Soldier Letter Datelined Edisto Island South Carolina For Sale
Up for saleis avintage Civil War Era Soldier letter datelined Edisto Island, South Carolina, May 10, 1862. Letter was, I believe, written by E.B. Holt. All I know of him is that he was in a Massachusetts unit.. I can not find his name in the letter, but it came with a group of CW correspondence from him and another Civil War Era Soldier, J, Newton Breed. With that being said, a very knowledgeable er has informed me that Breed was not enlisted at this particular time, so the pendulum swings toward Holt.. letter is of a personal and what's going on around here nature. Writer is fascinated with the blackberries in the area. Letter a little hard for me to read. paper has staining and has yellowed from time... ....... .... .. ...... ....... ... ... . .. ......................... .... ********MULTIPLE sale WINNERS::::::::Please wait until I send an invoice before paying.
