Up for saleis avintage Civil War Era Soldier letter datelined Edisto Island, South Carolina, May 10, 1862. Letter was, I believe, written by E.B. Holt. All I know of him is that he was in a Massachusetts unit.. I can not find his name in the letter, but it came with a group of CW correspondence from him and another Civil War Era Soldier, J, Newton Breed. With that being said, a very knowledgeable er has informed me that Breed was not enlisted at this particular time, so the pendulum swings toward Holt.. letter is of a personal and what's going on around here nature. Writer is fascinated with the blackberries in the area. Letter a little hard for me to read. paper has staining and has yellowed from time... ....... .... .. ...... ....... ... ... . .. ......................... .... ...... ********MULTIPLE sale WINNERS::::::::Please wait until I send an invoice before paying.
