An interesting piece of Southern ephemera. This is a small receipt from 1862 for payment of $700 to Nathaniel Scales. Appears to be a form from the Agency of the Bank of North Carolina in Wentworth, NC. Part of document is missing (see pic). Nice piece of history worthy of additional research. Paper measures approximately 7-1/2" x 4-1/4" in size.
