Feb. 22, 1862 This is an attractive wood engraved single sheet from an issue of Harper\'s Weekly published in 1862, in the midst of the Civil War. It is 150 years old! Harper’s was the most popular illustrated paper in America during the second half of the 1800s, and provided the nation its most enduring contemporary coverage of the War.This overall sheet measures slightly over 11 x 15 inches in size. The page is lightly worn, with an old crease down the center. It has two short pieces of tape repair on the back side, but these are hidden, and the engraving still presents a very appealing view on its front. This scene bears the title as shown above, and presents a nice overhead view of seven Union battle vessels approaching Ft. Henry.The page does not include any explanatory text, which appeared elsewhere in the periodical. On its reverse side, it does have a 6 x 9-inch map captioned, “Map of the Theatre of War in Western Tennessee, which shows the location of Ft.
