Here’s a cover mailed on November 17, 1862 from Delavan, Wisconsin sent to Orson D. Johnson, s Corporal in Company D 22nd Wisconsin Infantry at Lexington, Kentucky by way of Cincinnati, Ohio. Johnson was discharged for disability on January 20, 1863. The University of Michigan Archives has a large collection of Johnson’s wartime correspondence. Cover is in fair shape with nice patriotic engraving.
