This is a very popular penny token struck during the American Civil War. The obverse legend reads, \"LIBERTY AND NO SLAVERY\" with a depiction of Lady Liberty. The backside is inscribed UNION FOR EVER. This is a scarcer type.This is a good piece of anti-slavery material from the American Civil War for not a lot of money! After all, that is what Civil War was all about.
