Since the 1950\'s, my father and Ihave been collecting coins mostly from the United States and sometimes otherinteresting items from other countries. As I was growing up, my father workedin a Savings and Loan and we enjoyed many hours of collecting and catalogingany scarce coins that we came across. We continued to collect scarce andGovernment Issue coins well up into the turn of the century. My father haspassed on a few years back, and it is getting time that I start passing theselittle gems on to people that can appreciate them as much as we have. Keepwatching my listing for the next couple of months, as I have a lot of coins andbullion to liquidate.

For sale I have a 1863 Civil War Patriotic Token. ~ Q. DavidBowers has this catalogued as Patriotic die 443 on the obverse displayingNEW YORK. The reverse shows the Indian Head left Patriotic die 63.My father told me these Civil War tokens used to show up in the bank drawers inthe 50\'s as pennies. He always said, that you never know what is going to showup in the drawers at the end of the day. As always, the coins in my collection has never been dipped or cleaned. Please see pictures for grading. Grading is subjective. The details on thedate, and Indian Head are very strong with all the beads and fine lines in the featherheaddress showing \"no\" to \"very little\" ware. There is a small scrape on the rim at 4:00 o\'clock on the obverse. This token is a strong XF.~Bowers has this die combination priced between $30-$45 in XF/AU.
