Here is a genuine Confederate Civil War era STATE OF GEORGIA $100 CURRENCY NOTE, dated at Milledgeville, April 6, 1864.
Central vignette of Moneta seated on cash chest gazing at Georgia coat of arms. Minerva standing in niche with sword and flowers at left. Red protector 1 0 0 at center. Back is blank as issued.
Serial #20868. Hand signed by T.D. Tinsley, for Commissioner General, and R.J. McCarrey, for Treasurer.
A very attractive example of this highest denomination currency issued by Georgia in the Civil War.
