I could be wrong, but I believe this is the only 1864 Lincoln / Johnson presidential election jugate (presidential and vice presidential candidates appearing on same side) medal. This is a hefty medal measuring 42mm, larger than a silver dollar. This medal is Dewitt/Sullivan AL-1864-1 (King-72, Zabriskie-18). It is struck in white metal.
Our medal comes authenticated by NGC and graded MS-61. Although tough to photo due to the thick plastic cover, this medal displays a good proof-like surfaces when tilted and catches light. There was another white metal offered by Stacks last year from John Ford Collection (lot-10987). That piece was graded \"Unc Details-Bent\" but still brought $1234. Our piece is a no-problem MS-61.
