Obverse:
Bust of Lincoln facing left with the date below and 13 stars around.
Reverse:
A 13 link chain circles the letters “O.K.” in the center.
It appears to be lightly coated with lacquer which was a common practice of early copper collectors. The lacquer is evenly distributed with the only real negative of it making it difficult to take clear pics!
The token was well struck on the obverse but the lower leg of the \"K\" was not struck as well. Both sides are well centered. The bust is attractive, especially with the copper highlights showing up nicely. The stars and the chain look great and the date is fine except the 4 is a little shallow.
A nice piece for the Lincoln or Civil War collector that is in Very Good Condition. I would call it Excellent except for the darkness which again is from some very old Sales Tax is charged on all salesmade within or shipped within the State of California. The only exception is for holders of a valid California State Resellers Permit, a copy of which must be made available to me in order to be exempt from the tax.
