Map Details:Highly detailed battle map showing the battlefield positions, roads, rivers, towns, etc. used to illustrate this particularbattle duringthe the Civil War.The map isfullof battlefield information, fortification information, and a host of other information utilized by the War Department during the Civil War. The map was issued to accompany the monumental Atlas To Accompany The Official Records of the Union and Confederate Armies. 1861-1865 and was published in 1891-1895.The publication of this work was the most comprehensive compilation of maps of the Civil War. The Atlas was not available for sale to the general public and was only published in relatively small numbers to various government agencies and libraries. The complete atlas set now sells for well over $10,000, and it is basically impossible to find a purchase an individual map from this atlas. I have owned three sets of these atlases and am now selling all of the maps from them. Very low starting price. Map symbols and details include individual towns, rivers, lakes, bays, harbors, islands, mountains, forests, roadsand other important places as shown on the map in this listing.

2. The map is inexcellent condition consideringthe age and rarity of the map. The overall size of the map is approximately6 inches by5.5inches.
