Amazing Civil War-Era & Historical Presidential Photograph!

Wonderful photo of the ornate horse-drawn hearse that carried Abraham Lincoln from the train to his funeral and burial in Springfield, Illinois. Shown here unattached from the six black horses that pulled it. Mourners are looking on. The Mayor and people of St. Louis loaned this hearse to Springfield. Notice the eight feathered plumes adorning the top of the hearse. Gold, silver and crystal adorned the sides. Built in Philadelphia, the hearse cost $1000.
