It was maintained in a blankvolume w/ leather spine, gilt letters reading Scrap Book, sold by J. L. Fairbanks, stationer and acct book mfgr, Boston. 8\" x 10.25\"

Content:Veryreadable with some riveting entries not only on theusual sites, but observations aboutthe common people and customs as well.

It begins with her departure from London. She visits southern England, Paris, the Riviera, northern Italy, the Alps, Paris, Loire Valley, Bordeau, Pau, Bayonne, Biarritz, Angouleme, Orleans, Frankfort, Nuremburg, Prague, Dresden, Berlin, Brussels, Waterloo, back to England, sails from Liverpool, arrives in Boston July 1867.

Munich - \"The present King of Bavaria is only 21 or 22 years of age and is averse to the duties of his Office. It is reported...he went away...taking only one attendant and was in the mountains enjoying himself...Sleeping and Eating in Shepherd\'s Cots...\"

Austrian Tyrol - \"The real life of the Cow-heard of the Alps differs widely from the beau Idea of poetry and romance. From 6 to 8 months he is banished from the haunts of men, above the Clouds, occupying a wretched chalet...\" more
