Description:It is anauthentic Antique mapapproximately 150 years old with original handcoloring and a centerfold asissued. It is an SDUK (Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge), which was a very prolific organization that published atlases and books mainly of scientific interest. This particular map is from The Harrow Atlas of Classical Geography, published in London, 1866, originally intendedfor use in the Harrow School.A facsimile copy of the Atlas title page is included for authenticity.The society name is in the title area and the publishing detail in the bottom center marginand the engraver\'s name J&C Walker in the bottom right margin. It isnot matted, mountednor framed, being sold as a single large sheet with a centerfold as issued,as shown in the mainpic. Overall, a very beautiful map, nicely detailed with strong color on a bright page.

Size: The map image measures approximately12 1/2by15inches (32x38cm)on a14by 17 1/2\" (35x44cm)page with a widemargin all around for matting.

Condition: It is in Good condition for its age, blank on reverse with original handcoloring and a centerfold as issued. Thereare a few light handlingsmudgesin the margins, slight half inch splits at the ends of the centerfoldand soft creases onthebottom corners, otherwise the map image area is very clean with nice strong color that would frame up nicely, see the pics for more on condition.The picsare of the actual map.See the detail pics for a better idea of the color.
