Beautifully made of polished silver with hand etching and enameling as shown.Inscription on handlebearing first and middle name of recipient, presentation date in 1926 and place of presentation (Kitaj - a \"museum city\").Hallmarks as shown: (1) City mark: St. Petersburg (Anchor and Grapnel crossing a Scepter) (2) Purity mark: \"84\" for the silver standard of 84 zolotnik (.875 pure) (3) Assay master mark: \"HE1870\" likely for Ivan Vonifatiyevich Yevstigneyev (worked from 1870-1894) (4) Maker\'s Mark: \"IAL\".
