Presenting an exquisite 19th Century micro mosaic plaque featuring an exceptionally fine vignette depicting St. Peter\'s Square of Rome.

The oval shaped Roman scene is masterfully crafted in tiny
coloured glass tesserae and housed in the original silver frame. The piece was made by the famous Cesare Roccheggiani.

The detail is exceptional, the appealing combination
of coloured tiles expertly placed into slate to create a magnificent three
dimensional effect.

This exquisite piece is presented in amazing antique condition.
The micro mosaic scenes are sensational with no losses or disruptions
to the tiny tesserae.

This impressive piece measures: Oval frame: 6 inches by 5 3/4 inches not including the hanging loop; artwork: 5 inches by 3 3/4 inches.
