Rare and original, 1870\'s Cabinet Card Photograph of a Native American Kiowa Indian Brave. This wonderful, period Card Mount Photograph measures approx. 3 7/8” by 5 1/2” and is mounted on its original Card Mount (overall size is 4 3/4” by 6 3/4\").
This striking Image depicts a young and proud Kiowa Brave dressed in late 19th century, traditional garb - on his lap there appears to be a framed Cabinet Card Photograph face down.
Please note: While we are sure that the subject is a Kiowa Brave, we have been unable to uncover his identity nor the identity of the photographer. We would greatly appreciate any information regarding the subject\'s identiry and/or information about the photographer.
This rare, original and very attractive, ca1890 Cabinet Card Photograph is in very good condition. The Photograph is clean and crisp and exhibits sharp focus, strong contrast and rich, warm tonality. The Card Mount exhibits some soiling and is trimmed along the left hand edge.
A very rare and very attractive, 180\'s Cabinet Card Photograph of a young and proud Kiowa Brave and a fantastic addition to any Native American Photograph collection!!
