1876 Gettysburg civil war steel engraving/print \"Repulse of Longstreet\'s Assault:
$250.00

The over all size of the paper is 41 3/4\" wide X 22\' tall . The picture itself is 35 1/4\" wide X 14\" tall. Along the top center in very tiny lettering it reads, \" Entered according to act of Congress AD 1876 by John B. Bachelder in the office of Librarian of Congress at Washington\". \"Painted by James Walker, Engraved by H.B. Hall Jr.\" \"Published by James Drummond Ball of Boston Mass.\" This print was found rolled up laying in an attic. It\'s very dusty, has some stains and tears along the edges of the paper, but they don\'t get into the picture at all. Another print just like this one only framed sold on for $450.00 plus $175.00 shipping recently. A very nice bit of background information on this artist, the print, steel engraving and painting was provided with the before mentioned listing. That seller had gotten the information from the Boston Rare Maps online description of similar engraving sold by them. As I\'m only a two fingered typer I\'ll leave it to you to look that up and read for yourself the details. Otherwise I\'ll be here all day typing it out. It\'s very interesting and worth the read.
