1880s ANTIQUE ITALIAN VERY FINE MICRO MOSAIC ONYX CROSS,RARE!

Made of very fine, fully detailed micro mosaic, set on black onyx.

A beautiful Victorian cross featuring micro mosaic scenes of ancient Rome - six in all and each beautifully executed. I think the top is silver , not marked.These were collected by Victorians on their Grand Tours of the ContinentJust over 2\" high x 1.20\" across

Micromosaic is in excellent condition. There is a very tiny chip on onyx on corner cross and same small bits chips, dark patina on silver top , near mosaics in good condition.

Over all, is in very good antique condition.
