The book measures8 X 5inches; (8vo); hardcover; brown cloth on boards with gilt stamped lettering & decorations on front board & spine; small indentation on top edge of front board; missing upper 1cm of spine cover; creases & small tears on spine cover; edges worn; cloth lightly rubbed; smudges on frontispiece & illustrated title page; small stains & minor smudges scattered occasionally throughout; contents evenly age toned;xvi+ 406 pages + color plates + 32 page publisher\'s catalog.

Illustrated throughout with several color plates printed with chromolithography. The plates show Tom & Jerry boxing, fencing, dancing, at a coffee shop, visitinga gin shop, gambling, card playing, etc...
