Here is beautiful set of Indian War/Spanish American War U.S. Cavalry saddle bags. They are complete and in great condition. All straps are there and the leather is very supple, no drying anywhere. All stitching is intact. They were made at the Rock Island Arsenal and are stamped with other military issue markings as well. There is one small repair done where most of these early saddle bags weakened, apparently done by the regimental saddler--a beautiful job. The later 1904 models strengthened this area.
