KNOWN BACKGROUND...

Title purchased several decades ago from a Deleware estate, purportedly signed by Twain. Since, it has remained in our possession; we have never (have not) had it authenticated. Online, in the intervening years, there are now an abundance of sites that discuss the various and numerous permutations (and of note, there are many) of Twain\'s signature, offer varied samples, etc.... and we encourage you to form your own assessment. So: We pass along all we know (and encourage interested buyers to make their own judgement on the autograph). We *are* experts on rare books and to a certainty are confident in the bibliographic 1st edition points of the saleed title and reliance thereon.
