The Second Part of the Scarlet Bookof Freemasonry is on the work of Pythagoras. Pythagoras started a secret society called thePythagorean brotherhood devoted to the study of mathematics.This had a great effect on future esoteric traditions, namelyRosicrucianism and Freemasonry, both of which were occultgroups dedicated to the study of mathematics and both of whichclaimed to have evolved out of the Pythagorean brotherhood. Inaddition, the second part of the book includes ancient Masonryin regards to the Ruins in Mexico and the Obelisks and symbolsfound in Egypt. Throughout, the Scarlet Book ofFreemasonry contains numerous black and white and colorillustrations including a fold-out of Pythagoras.
