I have scanned and provided photos of this rarephotograph. The photo has been placed affixed to a page for publishing. It waskept in a museum in Lawrence, Kansas. Underneath the photograph there is somewriting in pencil, presumably by the writer, William Harvey Brown (an earlyMayor of Salisbury). W.H. Brown (knownas ‘Curio’ Brown) died in Salisbury in 1913. He wrote ‘On the South AfricanFrontier’ which was the ‘adventures and observations of an American inMashonaland and Matabeleland’. You can find it in a downloadable form on theInternet and it is a good read with its history of early Rhodesia!

The picture is stated as going in on Page 222 Chapter IVof the book, but I think another photo was chosen instead, hence this one beingput away. I have one more photograph from the PioneerColumn which is also up for sale. THERE IS ON THE PHOTOGRAPH.

The picture will be well packed and protected and comesfrom a smoke free home. I alwaysrepay excess postage.
