1890 Liberty Seated Half Dollar, Proof, certified PCGS PR-62, from a mintage of less than 600 examples. An old time Proof example from a collection that has not seen the light of day in a Half Century. As typical for Proofs in the lower grade levels, this shows some hairlines, but makes up for it with some amazing peripheral rim toning from many years stored in a Wayte Raymond album. Crappy examples have sold at major wholesale sales for about $900 on average, showing typical washed out surfaces - NOT a problem with this coin. My price is below what another example recently sold for on this site, and it probably wasn\'t as nice either! I am also offering an Uncirculated example of the low mintage 1886 Seated Half as a separate listing, out of the same collection and with almost identical toning.
