This is a wonderful campaign textile from the 1892 U.S. Presidential election. It was printed in black on a white ground. Sitting President Benjamin Harrison and his running mate Whitelaw Reid are both pictured, surrounded by a laurel wreath and patriotic imagery including 13 stars, Flags, a shield, and an eagle. Ships and factories are pictured in the lower corners of the image. Their campaign slogan \"Protection and Reciprocity\" is also featured.

The bandana is framed to 24 1/4\" x 23 1/4\" in a classic, narrow black frame with a fairly wide mat. The sight measures 18\" x 17 1/4\".

Diplomat and New York Tribune owner/editor Whitelaw Reid was named as the Vice Presidential candidate in 1892 when Benjamin Harrison dropped then-Vice President Levi Morton from the Republican ticket. The pair eventually lost the election to Grover Cleveland and Adlai Stevenson.

Somewhat wrinkled/creased, with a few scattered small, light stains; the most noticeable of these is in the upper right corner. There is an area near the center on the left side that is lightly toned. There are no visible holes or tears, and the image is bold; this textile is generally in very good condition.
