Very Rare and original, 1893 Chromolithograph, Paperboard Advertising Sign for \"Borden\'s Eagle Brand Condensed Milk\" manufactured by the New York Condensed Milk Co. of New York City.

This very rare, Borden\'s Condensed Milk Company Advertising Sign measures approx. 11\" by 15\" and is double French matted and framed for display with UV blocking archival glass as well as other archival materials and techniques (overall size of framed display is 17 1/4\" by 21 1/4\"). There is a factory hole at the center of the top edge for hanging.

The Sign is printed on a medium to heavy weight, paperboard stock. It features a wonderful image of a charming little girl dressed in a Witch\'s Hat perhaps for Halloween. She is surrounded by her three little kittens and she has prepared a plate of Borden\'s Condensed Milk for them. Unfortunately one of the kittens has decided to sit right down in the plate and spill the milk - much to the little girls chagrin!! Text at the top of the Sign reads \"Gail Borden Eagle Brand Condensed Milk\" and text at the bottom reads \"Best Food For Infants and Children\". There is a can of Gail Border Eagle Brand Condensed Milk at the lower left hand corner. The Sign is copyright 1893 by the New York Condensed Milk Company.

This rare and charming, 1893 Borden\'s Condensed Milk Advertising Sign displays as framed in very good condition. The colors are dark and bold and the image very attractive. There is some soiling to the surface and a chip at the lower right hand corner. There is some wear at the hanging hole and a few very light surface creases. While we have not examined the Sign out of the frame, there does not appear to be any further edge damage.
