This listing is for the12.5\"x7\" original book shown with approx 33 pages with dozens of recipes and about 100 loose or pasted in clipped recipes. The book was originally a ledger from 1866, but only a few of the original ledger pages with 1866-67 dates remain.

The only dated item is a recipe written on the back of a torn envelope with a stamped postmark dated 1893. The letter was addressed to Mrs. Samuel Smith of Russellville, Chester County, PA. She could be the creator of the book.

Excellent original early family and/or town genealogy, history, antique, collectible heirloom and/or ephemera.

CONDITION: see description and supersized photos;covers both being detached, the spine is missing, half of the paper covering on the boards has been chipped away, and the boards are stained, worn & warped. The contents are all loose and out of order. The pages are age toned, foxed & stained.
