Presented for sale is this Superb Antique Late Victorian Large Solid Sterling Silver Vesta Case, hallmarked for London 1895.This superb vintage large size solid sterling silver vesta case is rectangular and curved in shape with a strong snap shut hinged lid and is decorated with a fabulous engine turned pattern to the front and reverse, with a circular cartouche to the front engraved with the initials SM, superb quality item/craftsmanship. Presented for sale is this Superb Antique Late Victorian Large Solid Sterling Silver Vesta Case, hallmarked for London 1895.

This superb vintage large size solid sterling silver vesta case is rectangular and curved in shape with a strong snap shut hinged lid and is decorated with a fabulous engine turned pattern to the front and reverse, with a circular cartouche to the front engraved with the initials SM, superb quality item/craftsmanship. It is hallmarked to the inner rim with the Makers mark WH, the Lion Passant denoting solid sterling silver, the London assay office Leopards head and the date letter U for 1895, please see all the additional photos as they form part of the description.

Measuring 2\" long by 1 3/8\" wide by 3/8\" thick approx. it is in excellent used condition with a very slight shallow indent on the front nothing serious at all, there are no major dents, dings, splits or repairs and it weighs a heavy 21.6grams by my electronic scales.
