This is a BEAUTIFUL coin with no copper or carbon spots !!!!

The 1897-S is a much BETTER DATE (SCARCER ) compared with the more common dates such as the 1904; 1900;

The coin is housed in an NGC OLD HOLDER ( THICK FIRST GENERATION SLAB ). Coins in these holders usually command a significant premium compared with coins in new holders. Presumably, this is because of the more strict grading criteria used in the \" good old days \" !!
