Presented for sale is this Stunning Antique Victorian Solid Silver Ladies Purse Card/Note Case, hallmarked for Chester 1898 by Stokes & Ireland Ltd (William Henry Stokes & Arthur George Ireland).This stunning antique Victorian ladies solid silver purse card/note case is rectangular in shape with a plain design with no personalised engravings, opening it up the interior is beautifully crafted in red leather with various compartments to hold, calling cards, stamps or money etc. it has the original natural ivorine slab for writing notes on and a pencil, stunning quality item/craftsmanship. This stunning antique Victorian ladies solid silver purse card/note case is rectangular in shape with a plain design with no personalised engravings, opening it up the interior is beautifully crafted in red leather with various compartments to hold, calling cards, stamps or money etc. it has the original natural ivorine slab for writing notes on and a pencil, stunning quality item/craftsmanship. It is fully hallmarked to the front with the Makers mark S.I.Ld, the Lion Passant denoting solid sterling silver, the Chester assay office Wheatsheaf and the Date letter P for 1898, the other side is also hallmarked with the Makers mark, Lion Passant and date letter P, please see all the additional photos as they form part of the description.

Measuring just under 4 1/4\" long by just under 3\" wide by 1/2\" thick approx. it is in excellent used condition with just one tiny miniscule indent to the front just down from the hallmark nothing serious at all and mentioned for complete accuracy, there are no splits or repairs and the fitted interior is in near mint condition and looks to of never been used. Its total weight all in is 149grams or 4.79 troy ounces by my electronic scales.
