Up for sale isaveryrare18th century American coin silvermug or cann. The mark on the outside of the handle is listed in "Ensko" page 241 under Thomas Milner, Boston circa 1715. The form of this mug is certainly appropriate to that date and the piece is definitely early 18th century. There are a few English silversmiths that use a "TM" makers mark, but they do not have the 3 pellets in between the letters like the mark on the mug or cann and listed in the book.We therefore believe this mug to be American and by Thomas Milner, but it is not guaranteed. Please make your own decision based on this information and pictures provided. The mug measures 4 1/2 inches high and 3 1/2 inches in diameter. The original block intitials on the handle are M over EC and the mug weighs 315 grams. NO RSERVE!
