Guaranteed to be original and as described -- Antique 18th century gold gilt very finely hand painted decorated lacquer paper mache LARGE Qalamdan Islamic Afsharid Dynasty Indo Persian pen box. The Qalamdan pen box is a superb example and would gracefully adorn any major collection or museum.....SIZE: 12 1/4 inches long by 2 1/2 inches across the widest part across the top, by 2 1/8 inches high.....CONDITION : Very Good condition considering the age, there are some nicks that can be see seen from the photo\'s. There is a possible repair on one end where the box opens where it is darker, it may be just wear from use as well. There is expected wear to the base and where the inside and photo eleven shows a crack in the lacquer. This is a exquisite example of antique 18thc Indo Persian craftsmanship from the late 1700\'s and is a important Islamic Afsharid Dynasty art treasure ......(see photo\'s )........All items that are sold are sold as is as this is an sale.
