18th Century Georgian Silver Cream Jug Decorated Swan Cow Rococo 125 G Antique For Sale
A Georgian 1750's solid silver antique cream or milk jug. Hall marks to base rubbed - appears to be London 1750's series , possibly 1752 r , you can just make out the crowned leopards head and lion passant. . Rococo decoration with swags and swirls with on one side a swan on a lake and the other a cow close to a country cottage. Three cast and applied legs with hoof feet. Acanthus detailed thumb piece to handle. Evidence of a professional repair to the spout but no other dents or repairs. Substantial weight 125 grams over 4 troy ounces. Approx 4" high.
