It is a very versatile and utilitarian necessity of early American lighting when and where it was needed. Its placement can be vertical or horizontal. This type spike candle holder is sometimes referred to as a “Sticking Tommy” or a “Beam Jamb Spike”. It is a very practical lighting device used inserting in a wall beam log or a cupboard door jamb crack. It is in original untouched condition. Excellent condition with no damages or repairs. It measures 5\'\' high x 3 1/4\'\' wide & the candle cup is 1 ¼” deep.
