lovely exquisite antique ITALIAN made vermeil etched(engraved) silver and cobalt blue enamel compact from the turn of the century that has the matching lipstick holder and the covered comb case. compact is approx 3\" x 3.5\", beveled mirror is perfect! insert powder puff is not.....marked made in italy 800. clasp tight, hinge in perfect order.there is some very minor spidery scratching on enamel scene... please remember, this was used and is most likely over 100 years old. comb (rarer find!) approx. 4.5\" x 1.5\" case holds tight. last but not least....the mirrored lipstick holder! approx. 2 1/8\" x .75\". beveled lapis lazuli cabochon, slides easily mirror springs open and lipstick (original?) is there....how unique and rare to get all three pieces. absolutely stunning!

the blue is a cobalt blue and all of the colors on the painted scenes are also bright and vibrant. a must have for the collector!

THERE ARE 2 TINY SPOTS. ONE AT 2 O\'CLOCK AND ONE AT ABOUT 5 O\'CLOCK ON COBALT BLUE THAT ARE FLAWS. ...THE COMPACT WAS USED MORE SO MORE USAGE IS EVIDENT---APPROX 235 GRAMS!! AGAIN---PLEASE NOTE, THESE WERE USED. THEY ARE MOST LIKELY OVER 100 YEARS OLD AND ARE NOT PERFECT BUT SURE DISPLAY NICELY...AT LEAST I WAS IN AWE...!!
