RARE HISTORIC DOG BREED ART PRINT, 1900 date of issue in All About Dogs, A Book for Doggy People, by Charles Henry Lane, this Illustrations of one of the most Celebrated Champions of the time drawn from life by R.H. Moore, a beautiful pen and ink rendering.

This sale is for the Breed: Yorkshire Terrier, Ch. Ashton Queen, owned by Walton & Beard. Condition: Excellent. Border: Line border is not strong all the way around the image, but can easily be enhanced with a fine line marker.

This is an original page of a book of All Breeds of dogs, published in the year 1900, in the United States. Highly collectible and rarely found, the book this print is from is extremely rare, and can rarely be found, selling for HUNDREDS of dollars, currently. Please bookmark this sale, there is only ONE of each of these original prints available at this time! Page size is 8.75\" wide x 5.5\" high, and the image size is approximately 5.75\" wide x 3.75\" high, reverse side of page is blank. Note that the image is NOT centered on this page, and paper is slightly toned at edges. Guaranteed 116 years old, this is a rare and wonderful old dog print to add to your collection!

Note that in some cases, the black border is incomplete, and on my own copies a thin black marker was used to even up the black border, and the prints were then double matted and framed. I left about .25\" of the white background showing, inner double matt is gold, and outer double matt is royal blue or kelly green, framed in gold and these make stunning display pieces or gifts. In one part of my house, I have a suite of five of these prints together, and in another part of the house, two more in matching matts and frames - they will make a wonderful addition to your collection, and there are so many beautiful breeds to choose from - PLEASE check my other sales! Also note, the printed borders around the artwork is not always completely square, and is a function of something in the platemaking process for this book.
