Life sized bust of the greatest
It is made of plaster and its hollow inside
I have studied Max Bachman\'s busts in plaster,terra cotta and bronze
I am 100% confident this is Max Bachmanns work
He only sculpted Indians and Abraham Lincoln
Although unsigned it could be it has many different layers of paint on it
May have been repaired by him
Maybe he never signed it at all
But I will put my reputation on the line
Measures 31\" High X 25\" wide
Originally It was in Omaha school house
A lady in Omaha got her hands on it and sold it to the guy I bought it from
Sat in basement for 30+ years
Condition is great
You can actually see his strokes carving out the plaster very nice touch
Has minor flaking off the painted surfaces on the backside of the base and sides
Ab has a chip on his left eyelid
