HOW TO APPLY WATER TRANSFER DECALS

If you have ever built models its not much different other than larger. I use masking tape as a reference to locate position. I cut the decal sheet in half and do one at a time. Soak in a shallow pan of warm water untilthe decalis loose and releases from the backing sheet, you can feel it slide on the backing sheet(undera minute.) Do not let it curl or completely separate from the backing sheet. Remove the decal on the backing sheet from the water and slide one end of the decal off the backing sheet onto a clean smooth room temperature surface. Pin the decal end to the surface with a finger as you slowly slide the backing sheet out from under the decal adjusting position, if necessary, as you go. It is quite slippery and can be gently maneuvered into the correct position. You should not get any air bubbles under the decal but if you do gently work out with a soft wet sponge, working from the center to the edge. If a bubble can\'t be worked out prick with a pin. Let dry and clear coat. Spray multiple light coats until the decal edge is buried. Then wet sand being careful not to sand into the decal, adding as many additional clear coats as necessary. If you want to practice pick up a cheap \"water transfer\" car window decal and try it. I think water transfers are easier than adhesive backed \"stickers\" which are thicker and can\'t be slid around on the surface. I suggest getting everything needed at hand before proceeding.
