Beautiful and very rare, 1903 Sterling Silver, Santa Claus / Christmas / \"Merry Christmas\", Figural Handle Souvenir Spoon with a wonderful, figure of Santa Claus, Christmas Bell and a Christmas Hearth!!

This outstanding, Figural Handle Souvenir Spoon measures approx. 5\" long and has a figure of the head of Santa Claus with a sack full of toys descending into a chimney at the top of the handle. Below the smiling Santa there is a Christmas Bell and holly leaves with berries. Below the berries at the base of the handle there is text that reads \"Merry Xmas\". The bowl of the spoon features Stockings hung \"by the chimney with care\" and a cauldron bowling in the hearth. The back of the handle of the spoon is engraved with the name of the original child who received it as a Christmas Gift - \"Isabel\" and the date \"\'03\". The Spoon is marked Sterling and carries the hallmark of the manufacturer - the Mechanics Sterling Company of Attlboro, Massachusetts.

This very rare and very beautiful, Sterling Silver Christmas / Santa Claus, Figural Handle Souvenir Spoon is in excellent condition - crisp and beautiful - strongly cast and with just the lightest hint of wear to even the highest points. We have not cleaned the spoon but offer it here in \"as found\" condition with light age patina (the spoon will certainly shine up beautifully if the buyer wishes to do so).
