The silver front featuresthe cherubs/angels designfrom Reynolds\' painting, enclosed within an Art Nouveau edge design.

The date letter \'e \' which is for 1904

Lion Passant for Solid Silver

An Anchor, the mark of the Birmingham Assay Office

The letters \'CPB\', the mark of the silversmiths Charles Penny Brown

The hallmarks are all clear and legible. The \'B\' of Brown is very slightly worn.

Printed at the University Press, Oxford, and in London by Henry Frowde.

The book is bound inwine grainedleather. There are brightgilt titles on the spine. It measures 55mm x 45mm andweighs 25g.unpacked. There are688 pages, and the book is complete, with no missing, loose, damaged or detached pages.

The design is prominent and unworn. All page edges are gilt, lay flat in the bindingand are bright and fresh.

It appears that this book has never been used, has been safely stored awayand is in an excellent condition.
