Glazed pictorial wraps show wear, with creases at three corners. Spine is rubbed, with splits of a half inch at top and two inches at bottom. There are a couple repaired tears radiating from spine. Title page also has two short tears from spine. Front cover has a name, address and date penciled at top and general light handling soil. Internal binding is tight, with three staples. Pages are toned, with occasional light spotting.
There are 23 pages with illustrations (plus the title page). Many of the illustrations, which are all done in black and white are not signed. Title page has a mouse illustration signed by Palmer Cox. One is signed by Howard Del. Pity The Blind and Shoppingare signed by Nister. How To Catch A Fish has three cat illustrations, the last of which is signed by Wain. The Cracker is signed by Wain. The Dandy Colored Cat is a familiar Wain drawing. The rest can\'t be definitively attributed to a particular artist, though they show similarities to Wain\'s style.
This title is, of course, very scarce.
