St. Veronica and the Holy Face

Here is a black and white engraved bookplate beautifullyprintedonlightweight paperby Catholic Art. It is adepiction ofSt. Veronica,a pious womanwho put an imprint of Jesus\' face on her kerchief.Theactual image without the margins is 6 1/4\" wide x 8 1/4\" tall. The size of the sheet including margins is approximately 7 1/4\" x 9 1/2\". The print itself is in fine shape.The paper has toned a bit with age to a warm buttery cream.This plate is original and taken from a 1906 adhesive bound portfolio.Please note, there is a full page text on the verso.Our Lady\'s Mantle watermark does not appear on the original antique engraving.
