This an old medal and ribbon (ribbon is very aged, worn and faded) depicting the cannon (OLD BETSY) and the War of 1812 and FORT STEPHENSON in what today is Fremont Ohio.
Through research I been able to determine that this is a 1906 piece from the MASONIC KNIGHTS TEMPLAR FREMONT COMMANDERY. The medal is 1-1/4\" in diameter.
Fort Stephenson was the site of the Battle of Fort Stephenson during the War of 1812, when it was commanded by Colonel George Croghan. The site of the fort is in the present-day town of Fremont, Ohio.Buyer adds $3.00 USA shipping.
