Facsimile letter from Lethaby to William Harvey dated to 1926 regarding limewashing of masonry and conservation of the Abbey.

Lethaby explains his desire to give an account of the artists - the masons, carpenters, sculptors, painters and other craftsmen who built and decorated Westminster Abbey.

William R. Lethaby was a follower of William Morris, an important architect, a prominent member of the Arts and Crafts Movement, and Principal of the Central School of Arts & Crafts.

CONDITION

In a cloth binding. Externally, generally smart with light rubbing to corners and bumping to head and tail of spine. Ink spill to front board.Spine cocked forward. Hinges tender. Ink inscription to front free end-paper.Internally, firmly bound with heavy foxing to first and last fewpages,otherwise pages bright and clean. Overall: VERY GOOD
