For sale we have this rare solid hallmarked silver nurses pen thermometer holder and chain.Could also be used linked onto a chatelaine.
The superb piece was made by one of the best makers Sampson Mordan.
The silver was assayed in Chester but the date letter is hard to make out, we believe it to be for 1907.
There is a solid silver pin to attach to piece to the nurses uniform which was assay in Birmingham in 1912.
The piece measures 15cm/6\" not including the chain and weights 28.9g approx.
The lid is attached by the chain so that it is not lost.
A supern unusual piece by one of the best makers.
