Beautiful rare Royal Doulton hand-painted plate showcasing sailing ships on the water.

Based on the maker mark on the back this plate dates from between 1907-1922. The number, D2872, further dates it to being introduced in 1907.

There is crazing throughout and a crack in the lower portion of the plate as shown in the photos. There is a small spot on the upper right rimthat appears to bean imperfection in the paint/glaze. The plate, however, is solid and in good displayable condition.
